No doubt we've been down this road before, but the word on the street is that the Food and Drug Administration may finally issue a final word on the Sunscreen Monograph. According to our source, that ruling may come as early as May…that's May, 2010, not 2020!

Call us cynical, but we've been waiting for this document since 1978 and while the U.S. has waited, incidences of skin cancer has soared and European companies and consumers have benefitted from the introduction of new UV filters.

But enough complaining. After all, we've more than 30 years for a final word on UV protection. We can wait a couple of more months, right?
